This pattern is really fun and very organic. This is a take on Arashi Shibori. Usually Arashi is a lot more neat and tidy, but I went with a more imperfect wrap. This pattern reminds me of a geode or agate. It's made by wrapping the fabric around a pole. The results will vary a lot depending on the size of your pole and your fabric. The smaller your fabric the more "regular" your pattern will be. I used a relatively small pipe about 2" wide. I really like the way this one came out. Have you ever done any pole wrapping shibori? Let me know how it went.
